Kamal Khalafi, M.D.
Brent has spent nearly his entire 30-year career as an administrator at Brentwood. Today, as president, he’s responsible for the entire operation of the company’s Sagamore Hills healthcare campus. A Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administration (AHCA), Brent is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the state of Ohio. He’s also an AHCA Certified Nursing Home Administrator and a Certified Administrator, Sub Acute Care.
An alternate board member of the Ohio Health Care Association (OHCA) in 2015, he’s also an OHCA Certified Executive, Assisted Living, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kent State University.
Brent is as committed to the community as he is to his profession. He’s been a Cleveland Clinic and South Pointe hospital trustee since 2014 and recently served as vice chairman of the zoning commission in his hometown of Bainbridge Township in Geauga County.
As medical director, Dr. Khalafi provides and ensures high-quality medical care for all our residents. He’s board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has more than 25 years’ experience in healthcare. He earned his medical degree from Hacettepe University and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Huron Hospital, part of the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
Dr. Khalafi served as chief of staff at South Pointe Hospital before joining Brentwood as medical director in 2013. He also serves as medical director at Grace Hospital, a Long Term Acute Care facility.
A Solon resident, he’s a member of the board of trustees of Quality Alliance, one of the largest clinically integrated networks in the country.
Director of Nursing
As director of nursing, Patti is responsible for overseeing and managing Brentwood’s nursing staff. She has 27 years of healthcare experience – all at Brentwood. She joined the company as a state-tested nurse’s aide in 1991 and was promoted to charge nurse/supervisor six years later. She worked as a staff development nurse for a year after that before assuming the role of assistant director of nursing in 2001. She was named the director of nursing in 2008.
A Macedonia resident, she holds an associate’s degree in nursing from Cuyahoga Community College and is a certified Wound Care specialist.
As executive director, Bobby is responsible for operations at the healthcare campus, along with sales and compliance. He joined the Brentwood staff in 2014, having served five years in several positions, including administrator-in-training, with another healthcare provider.
A Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, he holds a degree in health service administration from Ohio University with minors in business and psychology and a specialization in gerontology.
Bobby gives back to the local community by volunteering with the Olde Northfield Preservation Association, which awards college scholarships to seniors at his alma mater, Nordonia High School. He lives not far from Brentwood in Sagamore Hills.
